Last Friday, Fortress Development’s large mixed-use project, Avenue Bellevue, officially topped out when crews from JTM Construction poured the roof slab at the development’s South Tower.

Avenue Bellevue is located at 10300 N.E. Eighth St., on the block north of Bellevue Square.

This is the second of the project’s two towers to top out. The first one, the North Tower, topped out in November.

When complete, the towers will have 365 condo units between them, in a mix of moderate and luxury residences. Of those, 221 residences are located in the North Tower. These range from studios to two-bedrooms with floor plans ranging from 567 to 1,873 square feet. The remaining 141 units are in the South Tower. These units are more expensive and are called “estate homes.” Estate home floor plans are a mix of studio- one- two- and- three-bedroom with floor plans ranging from 469 to 3,019 square feet.

The South Tower will also be home to the first InterContinental Hotel in the Pacific Northwest. The hotel will have 251 guests rooms and be located below the estate homes on floors one and two of the building.

The towers are on schedule to open in fall 2023. Weber Thompson and CollinsWoerman are the project architects. DCI Engineers is the structural engineer.

As previously reported in the DJC, additional development phases are planned for Avenue Bellevue and will include a retail building and public plaza.
