Jake Porter

Project Engineer

Jake started his construction career in August 2023 after graduating from Santa Clara University with a BS in Civil Engineering. As a Project Engineer, he enjoys seeing projects through the full lifecycle, from initial drawings to a finished space, and the fast pace of a job where no two days are the same.

He was drawn to construction for its relationship-driven nature and the satisfaction of driving past a completed project and saying, “I helped build that.” At JTM, he values the relationships he’s built with coworkers and industry professionals, and the mix of hard work and a positive team environment.

At Santa Clara, Jake played rugby for the Division 1A club team. Outside of work, he surfs, skis, golfs, and spends time at 9lb Hammer.
