Seagen B5 Assay Lab Expansion

Lab Expansion at Seagen

Seagen's Assay Lab expansion involved converting an adjacent room following a four-month design-assist preconstruction effort. Preconstruction included supporting the client on mechanical equipment selection, with careful examination of room pressurization requirements and existing structural roof capacity to evaluate options for a new rooftop unit. JTM partnered with its HVAC trade partner to provide multiple options, helping the owner make cost-effective and schedule-conscious decisions.
The expansion space housed highly critical equipment supporting the adjacent NMR Room.

JTM developed phasing plans to maintain the operation of this equipment and avoid impacts on Seagen's research processes. As an occupied facility, the project required extensive pre-planning to ensure high-impact activities did not disrupt end-users. Work such as saw cutting, trenching, crane picks, and utility tie-ins were coordinated closely with the client well in advance of execution.
