Georgetown Brewing
Phased Improvements

The Makers of “Darn Tasty Beer” Continue to Partner With JTM as They Expand

JTM performed the original tenant improvement at Georgetown Brewing Company’s start-up location. Since then, we have helped our beer-making friends expand into their new 38,000 square-foot production facility, including a seismic retrofit and conversion of an existing 5,000 square-foot warehouse into a 3,000 square-foot cold storage unit for kegs, along with 1,500 square feet of mixed-use space for laboratory testing, shop space, and offices. The tasting room features exposed steel and concrete, a bar-top fabricated with salvaged wood from the old Rainer Brewery and a glass wall where visitors can view the brewing process. Additionally, JTM completed a 5,000 square-foot expansion to the facility housing administration, a new retail outlet, and a tasting area. A third expansion reorganized the area and added an outdoor beer garden.

The tasting room features a custom floor-to-ceiling glazing system with a large sliding glass barn door. Benches, as well as low back bar stools at several long wood counters, allow for socializing in small groups.

A 1,600 square-foot outdoor beer garden, complete with fire pit, features a mix of concrete stadium seating, steel planter boxes, custom steel stairs, and custom steel divider walls and handrails.

Rear building expansion included an addition of 18,000 square feet of beer canning storage space.

“I love the space. It has exceeded my expectations. I'm very happy with JTM. The whole team did a great job.”
