This Structure, Built in 1910, is Now a Four-star Boutique Hotel
The Kimpton Palladian Hotel project involved the conversion of one of Seattle’s historic turn of the century buildings from low-income housing into a four-star, 97-room boutique hotel and restaurant. The nine-story masonry structure built in 1910 received a complete seismic upgrade, new mechanical and electrical systems, restored terra-cotta, and new storefronts and glazing systems. The project re-used existing stone, masonry, and woodwork within the interiors of the lobby and restaurant in order to maintain a connection to the building’s past.
